Pilipino Cultural Night
What is PCN? PCN stands for “Pilipino Cultural Night,” which celebrates Filipino culture through theater, dance and music. This entire production is put on by the members of the Pilipino American Alliance (PAA) at UC Merced– its script written/directed, choir conducted, and dances choreographed by the students themselves. This show is a culmination of dedication, hard work, and heart to showcase the history and culture of the Philippines
PCN is a play, with dance and music incorporated into the plot. PCN consists of five cultural dance suites: Maria Clara Suite, Tribal Suite, Igorot Suite, Southern Islands Suite, and Rural Suite. It also includes a Modern suite, which is a mix of hip-hop and modern choreography. And our PCN also includes our Choir.
PCN is headed by our Director(s) of Pilipino Cultural Night
